Child Sex Robots; Meaning for Pedophiles

A short essay that explores the question “How do pedophiles give meaning to child sex robots/dolls and what does this mean for the safety of children?”. In order to answer this question I will perform a discourse analysis of a translated interview held with Shin Takagi. Through this analysis I will be able to answer the first part of the question and I will contribute to the ethical debate by mapping out the different ethical standards Takagi gives to the child sex robot, being a user and manufacturer. In order to answer the second part of the research question I will connect the different discourses to possible dangers expressed by several scholar responding to the development of child sex robots.
